Lightning Protection Testing & Maintenance

Regular inspections of lightning protection and surge protection systems are vital to ensuring they are functioning and able to absorb the energy generated by these events. By law, lightning protection testing must be carried out at the installation stage and then at 11-month intervals.

All lightning protection systems must be inspected & tested by competent personnel – Premsafe’s engineers and technicians, use calibrated test equipment for accurate results and provide detailed reports.

At Premsafe our experienced engineers and technicians are among the very best in the business, all are skilled in the required testing procedures, with all work completed in compliance with the UK industry standard, BS EN 62305.

Exposed to the harshest of weather these components can be damaged and degraded to the point that they will not protect some or all of your installation.  Annual checks ensure that the lightning protection components are in good condition and have an adequate bond to Earth, providing the necessary protection to buildings and people.

Surge protection systems must also be inspected to ensure that the effects of surges have not depleted their ability to absorb excess electrical energy.  Premsafe can perform routine surge protection inspections.
